About Us

Triem Inc. was founded in 1966. The company has gone through mergers and been bought and renamed several times, finally arriving at our current name of Triem Electric Motors. The name Triem is derived from the original name of Triangle Electric Motors. The company has remained a strong HP motor manufacturing company for more than 40 years in low- and mid-level volume manufacturing of high quality and special design electric motors and components. Our manufacturing capabilities range from complex, labor intensive assembly to automated armature and field assemblies.

In 2006 the company moved from a small facility in Carrboro, North Carolina to a 49,000 square foot facility in Mebane, North Carolina. The manufacturing facility is located off Interstate 85/40 between Raleigh and Greensboro, North Carolina. This new facility has allowed the company to implement lean manufacturing principals, thus improving quality and response time – lowering overall costs.

Our product offerings range from 1/50 to ½ HP, 6 volts DC to 250 volts AC and are used in industrial floor care, hobby tools, medical devices, lawn and garden tools and vibratory therapy applications.
